In addition to card numbers that are typed manually, our system accepts input from magnetic readers. This lets you swipe a customer's physical payment card when selling on location.
To configure your event for this, follow the steps below.
Warning: Please do not wait until the day of your event to test this feature! You may need a few days to configure your processor so that it accepts transactions this way.

Please note: We offer this information for convenience only; it is your responsibility to know what hardware to use for your device, and how to use it.
Placing an Order
When placing an order, in the Payment step put your curser into the Card Swipe field and swipe the card. The field will populate with encoded data.
Don't worry that the other payment fields are blank. Place the order as normal.
Notes on Security
USB card swipers are input devices comparable to a keyboard. The data goes into an encrypted browser session on our website. The biggest risk with using a USB card swiper, just like with a keyboard, is whether your computer device is PCI-complaint.
Never use open public wifi to collect credit card payments. Always use a password-protected connection. In a given situation, if you have doubts about the security of the wifi that's available, use cell data.
