Follow these steps to configure a promotion on your event. This applies to all promotion types except Social Sharing/Discounts.
Step 1: Activation
From inside the event, go to Promotions, scroll down to “Add New Promotion,” and select the means of activation. If activated by coupon code, enter it as indicated (max 15 characters).
If you want a code to expire once used, enable the "one-time-use" checkbox. For details, see One-Time-Use Codes.
Step 2: Details
Select the type of promotion you want to set up.
The "valid dates" and "description" fields are both optional.
- If the code is good through the day of the event, you can skip the "valid dates" field.
- If "description" is empty, a default description will apply. (You can come back and edit this any time.)
Step 3: Rules
The options under "Rules" depend on which promotion type you select. For details, see the matching article below for the appropriate promotion appropriate type:
- Percentage Off Order
- Amount Off Tickets
- Amount Off Order
- Comp Tickets
- Price Deadline Promotions
- Password-Protected Tickets
Step 4: Add
Once finished, click Add.
Note: Please test the promotion using the customer order form, and try all possible scenarios. Make sure that you proceed at least to Payment, to confirm that the discount is working as expected.
