You can make a specific price tier, for all ticket types, accessible by promotion code. This is a great option if you want a promotion code to give different discount amounts for different ticket types.
Step 1: Create a Price Deadline
To specify a tier of pricing for all your ticket types, you will use a Price Deadline. For a promotion code, the calendar dates are not important. This is just a place to store the prices.
If you don't already have one with the exact prices you want, you will need to create one.
From inside the event, go to Tickets > Add/Edit, and open the Deadlines dialogue. For details, see Pricing Options.
Enter the prices in a new deadline. If you are creating this only for a promotion code, enable the checkbox at the top, next to the date. This will deactivate the deadline, and the date field will no longer be applicable.
If you want to make a ticket type unavailable in this deadline, enter negative one as the price. If this price deadline is applied, that ticket type will still appear with the same price it had otherwise.
Once finished, click Save.
Although the date you select is not important for a promotion code, take note of it so that you can identify the deadline when you proceed with the steps below.
Step 2: Add Promotion
Begin by following the steps in Basic Promotion Setup, and select the "Price Deadlines" option for Promotion Type.
Under Rules, select the appropriate deadline date/time. When finished, click Add.
Note: Please test the promotion using the customer order form, and try all possible scenarios. Make sure that you proceed at least to Payment, to confirm that the discount is working as expected.
To view total sales under a price deadline promotion, see the "Summary by Deadline" tab in the Ticket Sales Report.
