The Seating Times feature allows ticket buyers to purchase one ticket type and select different reserved seats for the different seating times/days included. This feature is only available to tickets that sell reserved seats.
SetUp
Chart
First create the Seating Chart and fully build out the Reserved Sections including holds.
Then add the seating times. (Leave the Start and End fields blank.)
Once a seating time is created a template layout will show when editing a section. Seats on the template can never be sold. Edits on the template will apply to ALL the seating times.
Caution: Template changes will affect all seats in all seating times, even after seats have been sold e.g. If you change a sold seat to a kill color, it will cause reporting issues.
If you do not want an edit to apply to all seating times use the drop down to edit the section separately.
Tickets
After you add Seating Times to a seating chart, you will need to update that event’s tickets to define which seating times it sells on the Tickets > Add/Edit page.
Ordering
When ordering the system will automatically choose the same seats for each day. Ticket buyers can then manually change their seat selection OR with the click of a button get the best available seats per performance.
Ticket Printing
A ticket will generate for each seating time. So for instance, if you buy one 2-Day ticket for seating times Friday & Saturday 10AM, you will get 2 printed tickets total (1 each for each seating time).
The badge feature is ideal for multi-level events that allow ticket buyers to select different seats for different days/times. e.g. A convention that runs multiple days and/or offers more than one session within a day.
Reporting
Sold Map
When reviewing the Sold Map use the drop menu at the top of the page to tell which seating time you're viewing.
Ticket Sales Report
Ticket Sales Reports will reflect only sold ticket types, rather than sold seats. So in the example above, even though you received two printed tickets, the report will reflect only one ticket for that ticket type, since the additional ticket does not represent an additional sale.
